Florence inaugurates new tramway system

In Florence has just been inaugurated T1, a new tramway system which connects the city to the nearby town of Scandicci.
Starting from Santa Maria Novella the new tram (which can accommodate up to 272 passengers) covers the distance between the two stations in just 23 minutes.
From April the tram will be available from 5.

00 am to 24:00 running every 6 minutes in the rush hours and every 12 minutes at night.
