Italian football’s Serie A championship has started with quite a tussle going on which will provide some very interesting local derbies this season between AC Milan and FC Internazionale.
AC Milan has achieved a coup this season, acquiring both Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Brazilian player Robinho thus providing one of the most stunning lineups in attack of any team in Europe.

The red-and-black AC Milan side will take to the field with Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, Pato and Robinho up front – and the comments are that it’s a daunting thing to face across the local field of the San Siro stadium for current champions, Inter Milan.

FC Internazionale itself has been criticised for not making any new purchases this year, described as having an old lineup on the field.
That said, Inter sold Ibrahimovic two years ago for 50 million euros and earned a pretty packet, with AC Milan buying him back to Italy for 24 million; and Robinho has been bought for another 16 million euros – a player who moved from Real Madrid to Manchester City with the latter club spending 42 million euros to take him on.

That’s a lot of money moving around in a couple of years and ‘Ibra’ is being described as the big hit this season in Serie A for AC Milan.
With the first matches already completed, the team disposed of Lecce 4-0 with a double goal scored off the boot of Pato.
And Ibrahimovic wasn’t even on the field at the time.
In fact, neither was Robinho as he’s waiting for them to shuffle Boriello off to Rome before he signs his contract.
Could we be looking at Italy’s new football champions for the 2010 Serie A?
