Raphael drawing £ 6 million expected at auction

On 8 December, Christie’s will put on the block a drawing by Raphael, one of the greatest artists of Renaissance period; the piece (Head of a Muse) is a study the artist used for his Parnassus, a beautiful fresco commissioned by Pope Julius II for the Stanza della Signatura in the Vatican.

Completed between 1508 and 1511, the Raphael drawing is expected to fetch 16 million euros!
