Rome will be the capital of haute couture from Friday July 9 to July 14th with the AltaRomAltaModa event, which celebrates art, fashion and old-school tailoring tradition.
The event starts on Friday with the multimedia exhibition “Il gesto sospeso”, inspired by the sculptured clothing of Roberto Capucci.
The Valentino label will then open the “Made in Town” boutique in Piazza Mignanelli which includes an exhibition on local production by Pascal Gautrand, followed by a presentation at Palazzo Fendi by Andrea Spezzigu and Gautrand on where you can get handmade men’s fashion and accessories.
Vogue Italia and AltaRoma have also organised 6th edition of the “Who is on next?” competition for young designers of pret a porter and accessories.
