An innovative bar in Milan has opened, celebrating the best of Italian salami products.
In Corso Garibaldi, Le Rosse is a wine shop offering tastings of salami, prosciutto and other various regional ’salumi’ from Italy.
Customers can get a small, medium or large plate to try the different delicacies, accompanied by a nice glass of wine.
The bar is comfortable and vivacious with Milanese from all walks of life.
On the menu is pasta and oven dishes as well, though if you want a more sophisticated bar in Milan, the Moscatelli is two steps away.
Why try Le Rosse, though? Because as the owner, Sergio, says: “We’ve discovered our specialties in long pilgrimages around Italy.
There are things that you can find at our bar, and only at our bar.
” As we had a “Barbazzale Rosso” wine, 90 percent mascalese and 10 percent nero d’Avola, we can confirm.
And at only 12 euros a bottle, it truly is difficult to find.
Italian specialties also extend to the cheese from Italy, with various samples of DOP cheese to try, along with advice such as “You must absolutely try the “strolghino di culatello”, accompanied by a sweet, double cream Gorgonzola blue sheep’s cheese from Alpi Cozie, washed down with a Lagrein from Josef Weger.
Absolutely the top.
