The town of Vigevano, near Pavia, will host a series of important events called “Leonardo e Vigevano” and devoted to one of the greatest geniuses in history: Leonardo da Vinci.
Leonardo sojourned in Vigevano, back then part of the Milan duchy, only for a short period of time but his presence can still be felt.
The idea behind this extraordinary event which will last a whole year, from 4 April 2009 to April 2010, is to shed more light on lesser known aspects of Leonardo Da Vinci‘s multifarious personality, including his love of agriculture, architecture and water.
Through this event the town of Vigevano also wants to draw the public’s attention to the importance of the new technologies and how they can really improve people’s perception of art.
