When a few days ago a friend of mine told me how delicious fregola was I felt rather stupid because I had no idea what he was talking about! I love food but I’m just an ordinary human being and I cannot know everything, so I asked him right away and my friend patiently replied that it was a variety of pasta from Sardinia.

Actually it looks a lot like cous cous; dry pasta made from semolina and water.

It’s usually served with mussel sauce and eaten during the cold winter months.
If you search google you will get loads of fregola recipes .
But the question now is: will we ever be able to find fregola at our local grocery store?
