Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to have their own reality TV show on Netflix despite supposedly leaving the royal family due to media intrusion in their personal lives.
Harry and Meghan to star in own reality TV show
As part of a multi-million pound Netflix deal Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to star in front of the camera in their own reality TV show. According to reports, Harry and Meghan will give “a glimpse into their lives” with the reality TV series which Meghan hopes will allow people to see “the real her.”
An insider has said: “They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap, but Netflix obviously want their pound of flesh.” The source believes that the show will be “very tasteful” and simply showcase their charity work and other philanthropic endeavours “rather than what they get up to behind closed doors.” This leads many to believe that the series will be just be a long, drawn out publicity campaign with no real insight into their lives.
The editor of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, said: “We were told they had gone to California for greater privacy so it all appears rather hypocritical. It is extraordinary. This is exactly what they said they wouldn’t do. The more they talk about themselves the more people will want them to do just that and won’t be interested in anything else they have to offer.”
One of Meghan’s friends came forward anonymously to say : “An Oscar is all Meg has ever wanted, she used to practise her acceptance speech in the mirror with a hairbrush when she was a kid of seven. She would also practise her signature in preparation for all the autographs she would give. Her absolute dream was to achieve the EGOT – the grand slam of show business – which is winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. Her acceptance speech has been ready for 30 years. Perhaps now she will get to use it.”
Netflix co-founder reed Hastings said that the Sussexes content “will be some of the most exciting, the most viewed content next year.”
