The venue would become the UK’s biggest indoor arena, with a 23,500 person capacity, leaving 20,000-seater O2 Arena in the second place. The music arena will be built by US entertainment venture Oak View Group in partnership with The Co-operative Group and will give about 3,500 jobs to Manchester. Construction is to begin next month. The Arena is the first to be built in Manchester after the terror attack in 2017 during an Ariana Grande concert.

The big US investment group, Oak View Group, led by Tim Leiweke and Irving Azoff, former CEO of Ticketmaster, announced to have co-operated with Greater Manchester police to create the tightest security strategy possible.

Pop star Harry Styles grew up in Cheshire and said joining a great investment like this in Manchester feels “very much like coming home”. In fact, although he was never the type to become a businessperson he admitted: “when an opportunity like this comes up, for me it feels so much about what I can bring to it as a musician, and also as a fan.” It’s been a wonderful week packed with surprises for Styles’ fans, who have been waiting for the release of his new music video “Golden”, coming out on October 26th.
