Just today, Monday, May 3, the announcement of the good news arrived. The music rights organization announced the milestone and Kevin Parker won an award in Sydney this morning during an event.

Parker himself publicly explained how the song was born, revealing that it was written for British producer Mark Ronson. He also thanked APRA for its support and for this important goal.
In response, Dean Ormston, CEO of APRA said of Parker that he is a visionary, because he generated not only a song, but also a sequel globally.
Kevin Parker now joins 18 other artists already on The 1,000,000 List. Among these 5 Seconds Of Summer, Tones And I (with the famous “Dance Monkey“) and Vance Joy. This achievement comes at an already happy time for the singer. In fact, he also received the award of singer-songwriter of the year at the APRA Music Awards 2021 last week.
