The new cases number of Covid in the UK have soared by more than 3,000 since mid-May.
The UK government said that there have been a further 3.330 lab-confirmed cases of Covid in the UK on Sunday as of 9 am. Overall, 368.504 cases have been confirmed. Then for the death cases, the government dashboard revealed that a further five people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid as of Sunday.
So, the number of death made it to 41.628 in total.

Meanwhile, the National Health System England said on Saturday that a further five people who tested positive for the virus have died in hospital in England.
It brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29.661. The patients were aged between 67 and 86 and all had known underlying health conditions.
In Scotland, a total of 244 people tested positive for Covid in the past 24 hours. The statistics show that 22.679 people have now tested positive in Scotland. The number is higher from 22.435 the day before. However, there is no deaths of confirmed Covid patients have been recorded in the past 24 hours. Then the number of fatalities remains at 2.499. The details are 259 people in the hospital confirmed to have the virus, down by two in 24 hours. Among these patients, seven were in intensive care, down one.
Wales has confirmed further has 162 cases and make the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 19.390. Public Health Wales said no further deaths had been reported, with the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic remaining at 1.597.
