48 areas across the UK where Covid cases risk spiralling out of control.

There are a new list which shows that 48 areas will probably be out of control of Covid. So, the households and business should face further local lockdown. Ten million people are now living under restrictions after the North East was hit with new restraints. There is a risk that pubs and restaurants, that had just started to get back on track, could face financial ruin.

There were 3,395 new cases recorded in the UK on September 17. Ministers and public health officials are battling to control the disease while encouraging workers back to offices and as kids return to schools.

Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, announced the latest local lockdown, he also said: « These decisions have a real impact on families, on businesses and on local communities, and I can tell everyone affected that we do not take these decisions lightly.

The restrictions

Pubs, restaurants and other leisure and entertainment venues should open under 10 pm to 5 am. Residents are banned from socialising in homes or gardens with people outside their own households or support bubble, while food and drink venues will be restricted to table service only. People should avoid ­non-essential travel on public transport and only take holidays with their own households. Then, only six-person limit on social gatherings.

So, here are 48 areas can make Covid risk getting out of control, there are 18 areas in the red zone which needs intervention; they are: Bolton, Bradford, Oldham, Salford. Blackburn with Darwen, Preston, Pendle, Rochdale, Tameside, Manchester, Birmingham, Bury, Leicester, Kirklees, Solihull, Calderdale, Trafford and Sandwell. Then, 9 areas in an orange zone which needs enhanced support as Rossendale, Burnley, South Tyneside, Leeds, Hyndburn, Gateshead, Sunderland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Stockport. Later, in a yellow zone which needs the concern there are Hertsmere, Wirral, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Corby, Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Sheffield, Peterborough, Northampton, Stoke-on-Trent, St. Helens, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Swindon, Breckland, South Norfolk, K’s Lynn & W Norfolk, Broadland and North Norfolk.
