The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen is in self-isolation after having had a direct contact with a person positive to the Covid. The measure will last until the morning of October 6, when it will have the feedback of its second swab. The first, carried out last Thursday, had given a negative result. According to the quarantine regulations in Belgium, an asymptomatic person who has had close contact with a person positive to Covid, as is the case of the President of the European Commission, he must remain in solitary confinement for a week commencing on the last day of contact.
On the fifth day of isolation, a single test must be conducted. If the result is positive, the subject shall remain in quarantine for a further seven days, then 12 in total;>if the result is negative, the quarantine shall end on the seventh day.
