UK has highest covid death rate

According to the research UK has the highest daily covid death rate currently, according to the data reported. The UK has registered 935 daily deaths only last week which is more than 16 people in every million dying with covid every day, no other country in the world has reported higher figures.

Czech Republic had the highest rate since January before UK overtook it on Sunday. The death rate could rise further as death figures registered on weekends and on Mondays are normally lower. Lockdown restrictions are currently set to ease from March, although Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the process will be very gradual and will also depend on many factors. He confirmed: “It depends on the vaccination programme going well, it depends on there being no new variants that throw our plans out and we have to mitigate against, and it depends on everybody, all of us, remembering that we’re not out of the woods yet.”
