The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Beatrice and Edoardo had been knowing each other for years. But they started dating only in 2018. They got engaged in September 2019 and married last July with a secret and intimate ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor.

The baby will be Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s second grandchild, after Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first son in February.

The couple named the baby August Philip Hawke, paying homage to the great grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh with the second name.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo’s baby will be the Queen’s 12 great-grandchild, since his birth will follow the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter in the summer. Mr Mapelli Mozzi will become for the second time father, as he has already a son, Christopher, born from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
