Britain has opened up to the world; now travelers can enter or exit the country without quarantine. Indeed, now France and is on free-quarantine holiday destinations for UK, despite the variants circulating. The Minister announced on Wednesday 3rd of August that, starting from now, vaccinated holidaymakers returning from France would no longer need to self-isolate. Spain, the most popular destination, is under threat of red list due to Beta variant.
So, true is that Brits can exist and enter the country back without quarantine; but also foreign travelers coming from EU or US can easily enter in UK if they’re already fully vaccinated. The following move have been take to revive the tourism sector which is the one who suffered the most.
Where for France, the UK has not put regulations, for Spain restrictions are still on revision.
Spain is the most popular destination among Brits, but is also under surveillance due to the increasing cases as it could turn back to the red list. Remembering red list regulations: despite having the vaccine, you’ll need to quarantine 10 days in a hotel. Concerns had grown that the UK would not have hotel capacity for hundreds of thousands of people returning from Spain. Last year 3.2 million Brits travelled to Spain. But Brits, do not worry yet, for now Spain is still on amber list. It has only been added a pre-departure test prior getting back to England.
New adds to the red list are Mexico, Georgia, Réunion and Mayotte. On the contrary, the green list expanded with Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Romania and Norway. Here travelers can go regardless of vaccine status. All changes come into effect at 4am on Sunday 8 August in England.
