Inverness police are currently investigating a theft that occurred at the Kwik Fit tyre shop located on Millburn Road. An unknown individual broke into the premises through the back door, stealing a significant amount of cash. The incident is believed to have taken place between PM on Sunday and AM on Monday, although the exact time of entry remains unclear.
While the precise amount of cash stolen has not been disclosed, a worker at the Kwik Fit shop mentioned that the auditors are currently reviewing the situation to determine the total loss.
Interestingly, despite the cash theft, the thief did not take any of the 500 tyres available at the shop, raising questions about the motive behind the break-in.
Authorities are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the area to gather more information about the suspect. Detective constables in Inverness have emphasized the importance of community assistance in this case. They are calling on anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or who possesses dashcam footage from the vicinity to come forward.
The police have provided a reference number, 0524 of November 4, for individuals to report any relevant information.
In addition to contacting the local police at 101, members of the public can also reach out to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111, where anonymity is guaranteed. The police are hopeful that with the help of the community, they can quickly resolve this case and bring the perpetrator to justice.
