Upon arrival, emergency crews found a man with severe injuries in a flat. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. Local councillor Malachy Quinn expressed his condolences, stating, “Sad news coming out of Dungannon tonight,” urging residents to avoid the area.

Armed police were deployed to the scene, indicating the seriousness of the situation. Witnesses reported seeing multiple police vehicles and emergency responders at the location, with a large area cordoned off to facilitate the ongoing investigation. Sinn Fein councillor Deirdre Varsani noted that residents are understandably concerned about the unfolding events.

Detective Chief Inspector Phillips provided an update, stating, “Shortly after 8 PM, it was reported that a man was found with serious injuries at a flat in the area. Police attended, but sadly the man passed away as a result of his injuries.” The PSNI is appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
