In a statement issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II clarified the situation regarding the future title of Camilla Parker Bowles once her husband, Prince Charles, is crowned king. “I sincerely hope that in due course Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her loyal service,” she wrote.
