GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing, working together to support innovation in Europe

The two organisations will join forces to boost the diffusion of innovation in the European ecosystem.

GELLIFY has formed a new partnership aimed at raising the level of innovation within the European industrial ecosystem. To this end, it has engaged in a collaboration with the manufacturing network belonging to the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a well-known body of the European Union.

GELLIGY and EIT Manufacturing, therefore, are set to share resources and knowledge to support the development and growth of highly innovative manufacturing initiatives, creating an ecosystem of numerous startups that will allow for the evaluation of co-investment opportunities.

GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing, boosting manufacturing innovation

The main objective of GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing is to give new impetus to manufacturing innovation by enhancing its technological innovation aspect.

To start the partnership, therefore, the Director of the Co-Location Center (CLC) South, Gian Mario Maggio, and the CEO and Founder of GELLIFY, Fabio Nalucci, signed the Network Partnership Agreement. The document commits to provide “a world of opportunities for innovative manufacturing startups“.

As a result, the two companies have made clear their commitment to providing a new impetus for innovation in the European ecosystem.

The two organisations will join forces to boost the diffusion of innovation in the European ecosystem.

The agreement between GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing was signed during the visit of EIT Manufacturing CEO, Klaus Beetz, who commented on the partnership with the following words: “The partnership with GELLIFY further enhances EIT Manufacturing’s ability to accelerate innovative solutions that address the most important manufacturing challenges in Europe. We are confident that this partnership will contribute greatly to our mission of building a network of ecosystems where innovators are encouraged to add value to European products, processes and services”.

The Managing Director of EIT Manufacturing, Gian Mario Maggio, also spoke about the collaboration between GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturig, explaining: “With this strategic agreement, GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing, represented by its Co-Location Center South, are joining forces to accelerate the green and digital transition of the manufacturing sector by involving innovative companies at both national and European level”.

The words of Director Maggio were also echoed by the Managing Partner of GELLIFY, Lucia Chierchia, who pointed out: “To promote innovation in the manufacturing sector, we need to create a model that structures the business needs of manufacturing companies, analyse the innovation potential of the startup ecosystem and identify co-investment opportunities, integrating capital with vertical activities to support the growth of companies. This partnership covers all technology domains required for the evolution of smart manufacturing, from analytics to artificial intelligence, from advanced sensors to automation.”

The partnership between GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturg also involved INDUSTRIO VENTURES, GELLIFY’s usual partner for mechatronics. The support of INDUSTRIO VENTURES, in fact, is fundamental to have a complete coverage of industrial and digital technologies.

In this regard, the president of INDUSTRIO VENTURES, Alfredo Maglione, said: “The integration of hardware and software solutions is the way to build industrial IoT platforms. Our partnership with GELLIFY and EIT Manufacturing can be an accelerator of this evolution”.

The recently signed collaboration has a particularly important and high potential and enables cooperation in different areas. EIT Manufacturing’s Senior Magager and Strategic Parthnership, Rani Avissar, therefore announced: “The strategic collaboration between EIT Manufacturing and GELLIFY is another powerful engine driving our relentless pursuit of industrial innovation growth in Europe. The Managing Partner and Manufacturing Industry Lead of GELLIFY, Francesco Ferri, added: “GELLIFY supports manufacturing companies from different sectors in their innovation processes, from the strategic digital transformation plan to the intervention on specific technological needs related to the efficiency of the production processes.
