Some places in Spain are more expensive to go to than others. For example, cities will be more expensive places to eat and drink than smaller places. Avoid going to jet-set places like Marbella, and if you go to Barcelona, don’t eat on the main streets like the Rambla. Costa del Sol, Costa Brava, Costa Dorado and Costa Blanca are traditional places where tourists go for the sun and the sangria.

Flights
There are many low cost agencies that fly to Spain. Their own low cost agency Vueling.com is always a cheap option that flies to all the major cities in the country. Easyjet.com, Ryanair.com and Jet2.com also offer great fares to sunny Spain.
Package trips
If there is a destination where the package trips really pay off, it is Spain.

Thomas Cook and other travel agencies offer fantastic packages. There can be lodgings in two to five star hotels, apartments, villas or all inclusive resorts. Often these would be far more expensive if you booked the accommodation and flights separately. If you go at the last minute, you can get these packages even cheaper.
The islands
Canary Islands

If you are looking for something different, try the Canary Islands, Minorca, Majorca or Ibiza. You can find lots of last-minute deals to these destinations that are part of Spain as well. If you usually go for the city trips and have seen Barcelona, Malaga and Valencia, this is a nice alternative.

Party and peaceful islands

If you like to party, Ibiza is definitely the place to spend time in the summer. Menorca is very quiet and great for a family holiday, while Majorca has the party scene and the peaceful places to stay as well. And although it may look expensive when you see the brochures that advertise the sun, beach and island feeling, the holidays to these destinations are in the same price range as mainland Spain.
